I am a designer and entrepreneur. I grew up in a family where living and working were combined in the same space, so business became a way of life for me.  My father was the well-known British designer David Mellor, also known as the ‘Cutlery King’ davidmellordesign.com.

I studied Typography at Reading University which lead to a passion for typography and designing books. I also wrote my dissertation on Czech Avant Garde book design which was quite a pioneering work at the time, the research for which lead me to move to Prague in the Czech Republic for my first job, to work for Saatchi and Saatchi Advertising.

I began my first business when I was 23 and still living Prague. Prague was going through a dramatic political transition, which was artistically a very exciting time. The entrepreneurial atmosphere inspired me to begin a design studio there, I worked with clients such as the British Council and I was asked to design the graphics for Queen Elizabeth’s visit to Prague.

A few years later I returned to London to begin Full Stop Design, setting up a studio in Ladbroke Grove in London. I managed projects for clients ranging from The Carphone Warehouse to Faber and Faber publishers and many local Charities such as
The Environmental Investigation Agency and WildAid.

My desire to start and create new things led me to begin an London entertainment agency called fullstopentertainment.com for which we designed the website and identity at Full Stop Design.

Our most exciting recent project is myfriendsroom.com, a great new concept where you can rent travel accommodation from your friends network. We have created the corporate identity, promotional video, social network marketing and a very complex website which combines a social networking and accommodation booking on one platform.
